Spirits of Rebellion: Black Cinema from UCLA documents a critically acclaimed, but relatively unknown group of black film artists known as the Los Angeles (LA) Rebellion. As the first sustained movement in the United States by a collective of minority filmmakers, they reimagined the production process to represent, reflect, and enrich their own communities.
As Associate Producer and Additional Editor, I worked with Zeinabu irene Davis and co-Producer D. Andy Rice to complete Spirits of Rebellion: Black Cinema from UCLA. We finalized picture in winter 2015 and have since enjoyed several screenings and awards.
